By accessing or using the services provided by PeachTree Mental Health (“we,” “us,” or “our”), you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use our services.

1. Services Provided

PeachTree Mental Health provides professional counselling, psychosocial support, assessment, and professional and clinical supervision. Services are available to individuals, couples, families, adults, and young people, and may be delivered in person, by phone, or online by a qualified and registered practitioner.


2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to access our adult counselling services, unless attending under the care of a parent or guardian. Services for children require the consent of a legal guardian.


3. Crisis and Emergency Situations

PeachTree Mental Health is not a crisis service. If you are in immediate danger or need urgent support, please contact:

4. Limitations and Disclaimer

Counselling and support are collaborative processes. While we work to provide effective, evidence-based care, we cannot guarantee specific outcomes. Results may vary based on individual circumstances. The information and services we provide are intended for general therapeutic purposes and should not replace medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment by a qualified health professional.

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • PeachTree Mental Health disclaims all liability for loss, injury, or damages arising from your use of our services or website.

  • You agree to access our services and information at your own discretion and risk.
     

5. Professional Boundaries

All services are provided by a practitioner who is qualified and registered, and who follows the ethical guidelines of the Australian Association of Social Workers. Services are delivered within the scope of practice of that practitioner. If your needs fall outside this scope, we will do our best to refer you to another professional whenever possible.

PeachTree Mental Health reserves the right to withdraw or discontinue services at any time, for any reason. Where appropriate and safe to do so, we will endeavour to guide you towards alternative services or supports.


6. Website Use and Social Media

By accessing or using this website, you agree to do so only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe upon the rights, restrict, or inhibit the use and enjoyment of the site by others.

9. Parental / Guardian Consent

If services are provided to a minor, parental or guardian consent is required before services begin. Confidentiality for the minor may still be maintained depending on their age, maturity, and legal rights. Where Family Court Orders are in place, PeachTree Mental Health is legally required to adhere to the conditions of those orders and may request documentation to ensure compliance.

  • To withdraw from counselling at any time

11. Your Responsibilities as a Client

  • To actively engage in services

  • To attend scheduled sessions or provide adequate cancellation notice

  • To ensure all accounts are paid in accordance with our Booking Policy

  • To ensure a private and distraction-free environment when accessing telehealth services.

  • When choosing to access services via telehealth, you are responsible for your own internet access and any technical issues.

12. Amendments

13. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Queensland and applicable Australian Federal law. Any disputes related to these terms, or your use of our services will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland or, where relevant, the Federal Courts of Australia.
